Adobe Photoshop - Module II

Introduction: Digital Repair

Photoshop 6 offers many tools to help make images look better than they did before they were digitized. Original negatives and images can harbor dust, scratches, or other problems that make them difficult to work with. Digitized photos may also have problems with digital noise - enlarged pixels or extra bits of digital data throughout the photo. This module shows the processes of cleaning up these kinds of images to make them more publishable.

I.    Screening Out Digital Noise
II.   Repairing Dust
III.  Repairing Blotches
IV. Removing Scratches

Tools used in this module include: Despeckle, Dust and Scratches, and Sharpen filters; the Clone, Lasso, Paintbrush, Eyedropper and Magnifying tools; and the Colors, History, Brushes and Tools palettes.

Before and after images will appear after each set of instructions.
