Final Cut Pro - Module II
II. Manipulating clips: Page 1 of 3
In the previous module, six clips were added to the
Timeline window creating a sequence of several animals in water. After
playing the clips as a sequence, it became apparent that the order in
which the clips were dropped into the sequence should be changed to make
a more compelling narrative. In fact, two of the clips don't appear to
fit in with the sequence at all.
In this module, users will learn how to change the order
of clips in a sequence and delete unwanted clips.
- Click on the Bison clip. Its
edges turn brown, indicating that it's selected. On the keyboard, press
the Delete key.
- The clip disappears from the
Timeline, but not from the Browser window.
- Click on the Tiger clip. Its
edges turn brown, indicating that it's selected. From the Edit menu,
choose Cut.
- The clip disappears from the
Timeline, but not from the Browser window. In addition, a copy of this
clip is in the computer's memory, and can be "pasted" into
a new sequence.
- From the File menu, choose
New. A list of choices appears. Choose Sequence
- A new Sequence loads into
the Browser window, called "Sequence 2". The text is highlighted
so it can be renamed immediately. Call this "Land Animals."
