Macromedia Dreamweaver - Module III

Introduction: Enhanced Web Pages

The web pages created in Module II are "bare bones" and contain only basic textual information in a loosely designed format. However, designers can also add digitized graphics, video and sound to enhance their sites. The key word here is "enhance." Overloading a site with too many images, sounds and videos can turn visitors off. One maxim to keep in mind when debating to add other media to a web site: Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

This module focuses on adding imagery to web pages, both as backgrounds and stand-alone graphics, and includes information about adding other kinds of media, along with the pros and cons of doing so.

    1. Adding background images
    2. Adding stand-alone images
    3. Formatting stand-alone images
    4. Adding other media
